-Nigel (06/10/2009)

Debut of shakedown material stagger lee the last great lineal story telling hunter lyric keith pretty hooked by now he comes through on new years 78-79 how come jerry was the only one bugged into rehab all the time
-Stagger lee (06/29/2009)

Cause Jerry was more essential to the band. Tough shit, but when kieth left, things trucked on... when jerry died, shit was over. Face it, the guys cared more about the band and keeping it profitable then anything else, so if jerry was messin with the bands touring capabilities then it was time to get him sober so they could go back on the road. I have a feeling, if Phil and Bobby didn't wanna keep touring and management didn't keep booking shows, nobody would have cared about jerry getting high.

Don't be nieve, The rest of the people associated with the dead aren't as innocent and honest as jerry was. Jerry was the spirit of the dead and lived the way the music preached, Phil, Bobby and all the rest of them didn't. Proof of which is the fact that Bob Weir was a Prick with the soundboards on Archives.org and Phil, Bobby and Mickey joined a Political campaign and perverted their symbols and music to trick people into voting for a puppet. If they hadn't spread his ashes everywhere, Jerry would be rollin over in his grave right now.
-Murphy (03/04/2014)

Listening to this again today on SiriusXM. Shakedown, Ship of Fools and Samson & Delilah have some of the smoothest Jerry playing. Great show.
-Steve (10/27/2014)

Pretty well said Murphy !
-Jeff (08/30/2017)

Keith played his way out,,,or the lack of playing out the band,,,repeating Jerrys phrases plus not having a monitor for Donna was last few months was meant as a Dear Jon Letter,,,time to move on to

Murphy - WTF are you talking about?
- (07/10/2019)

Don't mind me, I am out of my mind and have no idea what i am talking about but .. I would have to agree with Murphy to an extent ..

We can tell you the name of the song and the key it is in otherwise we have no comment .. getting political was a serious no no and they all knew it

Your running around the country playing songs Garcia wrote making money of it, talking shit about him when he already told ya the deal and part of the deal was no politics

They were the house band for the Acid Tests .. Garcia said wouldn't have wrote all those songs if had not been for the drugs

Sometimes Satan comes as a man of peace. What if the guy they were campaigning for who you just tied Garcia's and you name to turned out to be Satan himself or a Manchurian candidate ..

It was like the band never listen to a dam thing Garcia had said ..

On the other hand when they got on the bus they all bought a one way ticket .. no going back.. and the boys had a right to there retirement saving account (the archive) and the songs but still the politics was over the line and they smake talk about Garcia when he already told ya and not here now to defend himself ..

But don't listen to me .. I have no idea what I am talking about and I am out of my mind .
- (09/11/2019)
