Comments:

This was my 1st show of many more to come.I had been on the bus for quit a while but just didn't have a chance to go to any shows.
-

one of the all time "GRATE" half steps!!
-

I agree with Jim. Though I'm not the biggest fan of 'Half Step' this is a killer version. Beautifully played.
-Chad

Definitely one of my favorite Me and My Uncle renditions. Just really tight with a slight zip of 70's funk and just good ole Dead groovin.
-Brian (09/28/2007)

What could have been an excellent Scarlet is yet again ruined by Donna.
-Anonymous (12/07/2008)

OMG, Listen to Phil absolutely going off during the intro to Samson! They nailed it in '77-'78. This may be the tightest version ever! (Save for the little slip near the end)

First coupling of:

Scarlet
Fire
Estimated
Eyes
-Ed (01/22/2010)

Incredible 2nd set jam that includes close encounters towards the end of Drums/Space. It's brief, but it's there!
-Blind Man (11/24/2012)

Wow, the only show in my hometown. The recording totally rocks. Since it was a Betty Board, I hope/thought the "You fuckin idiot!" is either bobby or phil. The Boys did my town proud. I was 17, not on the bus. It was Clash and Bob and Zepp and Floyd and Skynyrd and Allmans. I did think Blues For Allah was THE coolest album cover. Little did I know what was in store for me in Oct 85 in Tampa.

Samson>Scarlet>Fire>Estimated>Eyes-1 of 2 times played(8/27/81 Long Beach.)

Just when I thought I'd seen heard every great combo, this show pops up on gdradio.net. Such a joy to continue to discover past gems. Gators got a GRATE show indeed.
