Comments:

1978 is the year the grateful dead were most in tune with their country western spirit animal. 1/15/78 selland is a supremely prime example of the band's country western vitality. and i'm very honored, i'm the first person on setlists.net to post a comment about this show. in summation, listen and enjoy.

Every deadhead remembers their first concert. This was mine. I remember sitting there feeling like the Dead had invited us into their family to hear them play. It was magical. I've been to better shows musically, but this was the one that stands out most in my mind.

Jerry's voice sounds weak during set 1 but improves by the 2nd set. Show doesn't really get going till around Passenger.

Great versions of TMNS and Terrapin. Must hear version of PITB as well. Not best ever but very unique.

30 minute Playing in 78!!! Not the best quality recording, but don't let that stop you.

At the end of the Music Never Stopped Jerry won’t let up. Bobby’s trying to end the song and Jerry keeps pushing for a higher peak… sees the third base coach holding up the stop sign and blows right by him
