saw this show... t'was my 14th birthday. can barely remember a thing, but it determined a lot...
have never heard a tape of this show, don't even know if i want to... sure i'll bump into it someday.
-anon

I was there. I remember being a bit disappointed after the show. the disco version of "dancin'" was just not as entertaining as the ones played in the early 70s. I was still (at the time) stupid enough to think they would play what I wanted to hear! after I got the tape, I realized that the show wasn't that bad at all!

@anon - The Scarlet Begonias from this show was just released (2011/11/9) as an Mp3 download on www.dead.net as part of the "30 Days of Dead."

Will be officially released on 30 Trips Around The Sun Box (SEPT 2015)

01 Bertha and 02 Mama Tried have been unearthed for the GD 30 Trips Box and belong at the beginning of Set 1.

Oops. May have spoken too soon. This is still being investigated.

Plop:

That's interesting because this afternoon on GD Radio they started with Bertha and Mama Tried but I thought they had somehow mixed up the opening numbers because 2 days earlier they opened with Bertha and Mama Tried in Indianapolis.

I can't remember them opening with the same two numbers a couple days apart.

true, the Bertha Mama Tried opens this show.

Music Never Stopped - does anyone else hear some serious Mind Left Body themes explored right near the beginning of the jam? Around the 4 minute mark on the 30 Trips release. Awesome regardless. Sweet show from what I've listened to so far.
-WillieParkJr. (03/02/2019)

The reason for the confusion is that there really is only one known audience that I know of from this show and I recorded it. Most set lists of this show are made from my recording, but we could not get the recorder set up until Sugaree had started, so yes there were two songs before Sugaree.

Listening to this right now on SiriusXM and there is definitely a little China Cat tease in the jam between NFA and Dancin' Pretty Sweet!
