Dave's Picks 52
-Anonymous (01/13/2016)

Shall be officially released as Dave's Picks 18.
-Anonymous (01/15/2016)

Very very average show.
Worst Daves Picks yet.
-The Wheel (05/01/2016)

Not an average show at all. The Comes A Time alone is proof.
-rmd (05/05/2016)

Jerry and Phil seem to have decided on GDTRFB after Eyes when someone (Bobby?) reminds them that they still have one verse of the Other One to go!
-Just Exactly Perfect Band (01/30/2017)

A one word response to "The WheeL,,,Wrong!
- (05/08/2017)

In response the The Wheel's post- Dude, take it down a notch or two. First, by saying "wort Dave's picks yet" you are implying that there are several bad picks to choose from that you've enumerated as his bad picks. Like too many reviewers on the archives, there is this sense that every moment has to be on fire and which one is hotter than the other, then comes the mediocre, they didn't give enough, and whatever else. They are a band comprised of humans who we are lucky enough to have a near entire history on tape cd etc. There is a baseline. Some parts and shows rise above it, some dip below. Different people like different shows at different times. Ok, so you didn't like this as a Dave's pick...who cares?

This is one of those obscure set's for 1976. Cool Chuck Sandwich for set I. The e)2 NFA is obscene! Big fan of this night.

Thank You Dave for bringing a new sound to an aud classic!

Being sandwiched between the Wall of Sound and the golden year of 1977, I think 1976 is often underappreciated...at least this was my impression. However, the more '76 shows I listen to, the more I've grown to love the unique stylings the boys laid out then, especially early-on right after their comeback. I hear a more deliciously mellow and relaxing sound in early '76. It may a bit of an acquired taste, especially for those who prefer high-power Dead shows. This show is a perfect example of the mellow goodness that is early '76, and I think it is great. I especially like the Comes a Time-TOO-Eyes-TOO sequence. Beautiful

Right on Joker. I couldn't have said it better...
