1st NFA in 3 months.

-Perrinswolf (04/28/2008)

I was there....just can't believe it was some 36 years ago. Annie and I had 8th row seats, dead center (#7 & 8), that I got from some kid I went to school with (those father was in the biz). Mescaline night, that helped me understand what the band was thinking. Jerry's guitar was something that night.

Get back in your seats!

The Dick Pick's 14 did not include Workingman's Blues in the 2nd Set a 10:42 absolute gem with fantastic guitar work by Jerry, a colossal blunder imo. An excellent song and show!

a fine Rider; good instrumentals. long drawn out instrumental. me likee

Not too many versions of NFA around this time. The jam outta this one has a strange hypnotic effect to it. It sent me into a hell of a loop during a trip..

PS Kieth is on another level during this 3 night stretch.

Dick's thoughts about this run, posted in 1997:

As for the run at Boston at the end of the month and the
beginning of December, well I would have to say that it is just
that, "a run of shows". What I mean here is that I see using these
3 nights as a 3-4 cd release of the "best of a run" kind of deal. Not
one of the 3 stands out on it's own, but in combo, they will deliver
some of the absolutely finest playing of the year!!!

One reason I think late 73 is killer is it is just 5 member's. Pure Grateful Dead!?! The next couple of weeks are outstanding 12/18 and 19th being the first of Dick's Picks. NFA 65-95

Anyone know why this wasn't included on Dick's Pick release. Think they only used 11/30 and 12/2.

-Normal Willingham (10/15/2021)

Before Promised, prolonged Blue Suede shoes jam with a wee bit of lyrics

Wow. Thanks Sirius for playing this one today. Typically solid '73 show. That transition from the Playin jam to UJB is incredible. And the best UJB intro I've ever heard. I saw a lot of shows from 85-95 with a lot of Playin>UJB's and never heard anything like that.
