this show is really tasty and really long!! 26 songs in all and all of them performed beautifully! check this one out if you want some prime '73 dead!

good show, but very MELLOW

Just got this show now per recommendation from a friend. I'll say this: I started at Miss. Half-Step and it sounds great. Jerry's vocals sound a little distant (just a touch!) but the rest comes through like prime `73 always does. I've been on a 73' downliading kick recently and I love it. I still vote 11-11 all the way for the best show ever (no Kezar! Overrated!) Anyways, this sounds great. Even Bobby's got some play going on. Can't wait to get to TOO. Any heads want this show, you've got the email. Peace.

This Let it Grow has got it! Check out Keith's playing, it's manic and adds some wonderful color.

Phil starts gettin sick somewhere after Truckin. Get down!

Should there be a BE Women & BIODTL between Black Throated Wind and To Lay Me Down? My copy has it, but maybe mine is in error.
- (01/12/2013)

20 minute O1-----10 minute jam before first verse
- (04/02/2014)

Half-Step > Dire Wolf is seamless... ya don't hear that everyday.
-Just Exactly Perfect Band (07/06/2018)

As Jep B. said, this segue from Half Step to Dire Wolf is some kind of unique phenomenon. Must.

Truckin' 12:05
The Other One 19:22

-Bookkeeper (07/22/2019)

dead.net tapers section reel includes BEW and BIODTL between BTW and To Lay Me Down.
- (01/13/2020)

Take note of Phil's playing here.

Unbelievable Other One, melted my face. Practically the full show is released on Tapers Section (email me if youre interested)

To Lay Me Down is amazing. Promised Land > Bertha > Greatest Story suite is also wonderful. Keith shines this night.

Dick Latvala' thoughts:

he playing is solid throughout the evening, but it is in
the second set (as usual!!!) where things really take off, with great
versions of every song from "China Cat->Rider" thru "Stella
Blue". The extra special quality that this show has for me is
expressed in the jamming around the "Other One". Again, it is
long and unique.

Jamin this show 47 years later and 1 day after my 50 b-day. I have listen to these shows a bunch but still love them. 73 is killer. God bless Grateful Dead keeping me sane during this crazy pandemic and political time's. Black throated wind just keeps on pooring in. NFA 65-95

Check out Mississippi > Dire wolf sweet!
-Kdead (11/20/2020)

Soooooo tasty!! The jam from China into Rider is as smooth as the bourbon I'm sipping.
- (11/20/2020)

Day after my 3rd B-day sitting here in Denver 1 day after the big 50 jamin and smoking all day. 20th and 21st are both killer. To Lay Me Down makes me think back to yonger days with Brown Eyed Women when it seemed the night would never end! The Other One~MLB jam is outstanding. Peace and well wishes to all during this long strange trip! NFA 65-95
