This was show #16, Having wheels gave me the chance to chase after the Dead too many time in my Junior Year of H.S.
I had gone to ten Dead Shows During this year Plus other Bands along the way. I also started to tape shows with a sony small C-12 Recorder. Most of the Tapes have been around but still enjoy the Shows..

Wedged in-between two of the all-time greatest shows, this one holds its own very well. Phil also sounds great in the OtherOneFest that makes up the 2nd set. Highly recommended that you seek this one out.
-Jay

4 beats in BIODTL at the start.

I
BT Wind-keith bands on the keys and Jerry heats it up at the end with a dazzeling solo.
China Cat>
Rider-great rhythm by Bobby. 73-74 Chian jam int o Riders are my favorite.

II
Truckin-Jazzy!

My First Dead show, Wake of the Flood was stuck on the turntable...Off to the infamous SD "smoke Arena"What I remember the most was the Tower of sound. The Arena had terrible accoustics but by the second soung the system was dialed in. What a great concert...wish the Dead would realease the soundboard Tapes. Donna waddled out to sing a couple times and thought she was gonna deliver right on the stage. Great vibe, great night...oh to be 15 again. Peace, Fil

The Other One is woven three times through in the second set with some serious jazzy threads.

a nice show while in the midst of a peak performance period. SBD is high quality. China>rider and a great second set are the highlights. Someone mentioned HCS...ouch no, band couldn't get it on track tonite and jerry is lost throughout, and not in a good way. One of my fav songs tho, always looking for good ones...

All the shows around this one have been officially released in some capacity (11-9, 11-10, 11-11, 11-17, 11-20/21) ... this one must join the club, a lot of times I'll try to fit the best stuff from the archive onto a disc and with this show it's just impossible ... must have Sunshine, Cumberland, China/Rider, and the entire 2nd set ... please Mr. Lemieux, I want some more
