Comments:

my first show on my birthday, i had gone to just about every single rock show held at The Palace Theatre, in my home town of Waterbury, most always finding myself in the first three rows by arriving 3 hours or so before the show started. But imagine my shock when I used my usual modus operandi, to find about 2,000 so-called "dead heads" in front of me! i had heard of their furvor and now i was a witness (to my dismay in this case). Given the long wait to show time, I remember that members of the Dead road crew brought large garbage bags filled with egg salad sandwichs, and ramdomly fed the crowd:). I also vividly remember seeing two men carrying car batteries (!), and a large reel to reel tape recorder! I couldn't believe that they were allowed right into the place! Yet another first in my many concert going experiences.

I remember this show pretty clearly. I'm quite certain that they played "Friend of the Devil," though that shows up on the set list for the following night. "Baby Blue" and "Cryptical Envelopment" made it one for the record books.

Last Baby Blue since 10/70.
After hearing Bobby bark at the moon in Saturday Night, i undestood what it meant when i heard older Dead fans say "they were on blow big time that night"

wonder how many people were tripping at this show. just saying. a lot is my guess. WPOD did like the acid. grew up and fresco, first trip at 12, took it alone while walking on a friday night. went home and told my mom, a stoner herself. she guided me. I remember crying, etc., but at 12 it had no long term results. by the summer we were indulginlging 1

typos on above entry: grew up in Frisco,

by the summer i was indulging with friends. not much good came of it. Normally would wonder the city and trip, did not trip at concerts too much.
