The first set Dark Star and NFA jam are well worth trying to find.

This is my fav '71 show. the NFA>JAM>GDTRFB>NFA is legendary. It was already one of my favorite sequences and the energy and playing on this one makes it hard to go back and listen to the more average versions.

Full show released as Road Trips v3 #2. I'm not a big fan of the Road Trips concept, but if they keep releasing shows in their entirety (like this one), I'm on board.

GDTRFB>NFA
A slower version with a beautiful melodic transition to a quicky NFA, guess the boys were ready to head out of the Texas heat. As 71 moved into 72, the rock and heavy versions of GDTRFB>NFA morphed into longer slower jams. This is a good transition show, 71 was the tightest the boys were ever and these two songs are indicative of said prowess

The "China Cat Sunflower Jam" from this show has some definite similarities to the track "Jam" from disc 4 of Ladies and Gentlemen... The Grateful Dead (the set from the Fillmore, April 1971). If you haven't had a chance to hear this show but you've heard that one, you'll have some idea of what it's like. Which is to say, very killer!
