I have a recording that has a different set list : thas Darkness Jam then China Cat Jam> Not Fade Away> Lovelight. I don't think your set list is correct.

Bobby during Lovelight "Pigpen! did you say Fuck?" Hilarious!.

This show is a sonic eulogy to the Grateful Dead's good friend Jimi Hendrix, who tragically passed away the day before this show. The rifling flutter from Jerry, and way that he effortlessly glides into a heavenly sounding feedback in the first minute of Dark Star, lets you know that the spirit of Jimi Hendrix was embodied there that night.

Primordial Dead at their Fucking Best
Not Fade > Darkness > China Cat Jam > Not Fade!!! Absolute Heaven.

This is my favorite Dead set that I own. It is completely possible that there is a better set, but I have not yet found it yet. Garcia's solo in dark star starting around 16 minutes is absolutely incredible. One of my favorite solos. Peace.

this is the stuff.....the really, really good stuff!

Still in the era of "epic" shows - the ones burned into the frontal lobe - we rejoice at their sounds amid the reawakenings. It is yesterday forever, my friends.

Dark Star with darkness Jam. Thats all I need to say...

Whenever I revisit this show after awhile I just can't believe it. I only have the Dark Star to Pigpen giving everyone some good advice ;).

A monumental Dark Star - quite possibly my favorite version ever. Bobby's playing is not to be understated. If 2/13 is the crown show of 1970, 9/19 is the ghostly princess who dies and then comes back as a wildflower of joy.

Around the 10 minute mark or so...

Pigpen: *to young woman in the audience* Would you like to take a young man home? Speak into the microphone!"

Woman: No!!!

Pigpen: S'cuse me?
-Love Light Rap (11/03/2023)

What we have of this show is short but it has that same vibe that the Allman Brother's Fillmore East album has. Something definitely joyful and spiritual about this set.
