30 minute lovelight is very cool

I loved it when they slipped in a Morning Dew in the first set, much less at the start. Jerry keens as if he is at an Irish funeral during Death Don't.
This Ark run, with this show in particular, is a great example of some of the Dead's 60's tunes, but all in one show.

For me, this was the best period for the band. Saying 1977 was their best year is like saying you prefer Jefferson Starship to Jefferson Airplane or Bob Dylan's 70s stuff to his pre-motorcycle crash body of work. Musically, maybe/maybe not. Culturally, no contest.

Fantastic Death Don’t Have No Mercy!
Second set is pretty epic ‘69 stuff.

Echo Frank V - 4/21/69 to 4/27/69 best one week in Dead history. Acid Dead at its peak, and all other versions of the Dead, however sonically polished, were never as culturally relevant.
