quiet show, yet most songs very well played. death don't have mercy is exquisite. dark star takes many surprising turns. morning dew is a gem.

This was my first dead show. I have the poster and the music from the show. It's funny, but I remember more of Roland Kirk then I do of the Dead.Mayby it was the 6 horns or whatever he was playing at once. I would like to hear from folks that were at this show.

Ok! I just listened to the live title track off of The Inflated Tear by Rahsaan Roland Kirk. The beginning sounds a lot like some of the stuff Mickey was doing on the 69-70 Dark Stars. So I looked up Kirk's performance history in 1969 and I find he shared the bill with the Dead at this show!

I'll bet dollars to donuts this song inspired the next direction of Dark Star.
