Just when I thought I heard all of Jerry's mad axe play of the late 60's, this show proved me wrong. After introducing TC, he goes into the meanest solo/jam that I have ever heard. While heavy metal was not even invented yet, the level of ferocity of Garcia's licks are uncomparable. Not to mention the crisp sound of the recording. Truly one for the books folks.

Also noted: this is the first KNOWN live performance of "Cosmic Charlie". Ha! :)

Have been on the bus for (50) years and
like many others just when you think you have heard every possible bending of the strings from Jerry,I don't know the exact number but it has to be over a billion you are once again WRONG.The happy music goes
on for eternity.

Mickey & the Hartbeats -- four-piece band; does not include Bob or Pig as they had been temporarily dismissed from the group. Ditto the next two nights. The group proper got back together within a week or so.
