I went to this show when I was 17. The "Dome" (Alan B. Shepard Civic Center) was pretty cool looking on the outside, but an acoustical nightmare within. I suspect the Dead were less than impressed and I remember leaving that night thinking that my garage band sounded better than these guys. Interesting note: The tickets for this date had been printed for a group called "Soul Survivors". Apparently, they were unable to appear and the GD got booked as a substitution. I still have that ticket stub, as well as a promo flyer announcing the GD concert. Price was $4.50!
