Rawhide teases after Smokestack. enjoy!

Start of the end of the Pigpen era. Smokestack 3rd to last with Ron and 2nd to last Easy Wind. 3 first set Pigpen tunes..makes the show all the more special.

what's that second snippet of a song they do after Merry Go Round, before Truckin"? It ain't Funiculi; what is it?

To be released as Three From the Vault in June of 2007.

Great Show. Yes it was relised earlyer this year. It's a really mellow show, but great. Good Lovin is at it's best, I dare anyone to find a better one! Pick it up you will love it!!

Meh. I'm not feeling this show, sounds more like a practice to me. There are a few firsts: Birdsong and Deal, and this is the first show without Mickey. Consequently the band is left a bit wobbly especially Bill. Combine Mickey's departure after the show the day before and some first plays and this isn't all that good of a gig. Like I said it sounds more like a practice.

I'll take a Feb '71 "practice" set any day.

The beginning of a one of kind Grateful Dead line-up, didn't last long. Only Billy pounding the drums and only Pig on the keys...

Raw, raw stuff here folks.
